Platu 25 Worlds

Last week the Platu 25 World Championship has held in Portosín,  Spain with an entry of 23 boats. 

After eleven very competitive races, the Portuguese 'Credite EGS'  crewed by Afonso Domingos, Hugo Rocha, Gil Conde, Renato Conde, Manuel Vilarinho, Filipe Matias and Pedro Patrício took the title of Platu 25 World Championship for 2013. Tied on 25 points were the Italian team 'Euz II Monella Vagabonda' helmed by Sandro Montefusco, who were relegated to second place as the Portuguese had gained more first positions across the series.

The Spanish 'E para comer Lugo' helmed by Gonzalo Araújo, closed the podium with 31 points in third place, six behind Montefusco and Domingos.

Fourth place went to the local boat skippered by José Manuel Pérez and Alfredo Mella on their boat 'Red Bull Racing Eyewear', from the Royal Nautic Club of Portosín, they finished on 33 points. In fifth place was 'Bribón-Movistar', owned by Marc de Antonio and Sofia Bertrand, from the Sanxenxo RNC/Barcelona RNC , on 38 points they made a great comeback after suffering several breakages in the first races.
