Congratulations to Ewen Barry and his crew for winning the National 18 South Coast Championships this past weekend.  Perfect sailing conditions over the two days saw North Powered boats filling the podium.

Cork Harbour National 18's South Coast Championships
Saturday last saw 11 boats on the starting line in Cuskinny for the Southcoasts in a very shifty 12-15kns North-Northwesterly breeze. Peter Crowley, our Officer of the day, ably assisted by Marie Crowley and Willie Healy excelled in getting us 3 great races for the day.

At the end of day 1:
D'Good D'Bad 'nd D'Ugly 362 Ewen Barry and Crew after an impressive 2 bullets and a 2nd lead the fleet with Three Blind Mice 272 Nick Walsh and crew 4 points behind and Moonshine 366 Ronan Kennelly and crew a further 2 points adrift.

Day 2 saw us head out for cleaner air off Roches Point. With a light to moderate West South Westerly breeze we had another 3 great races with the ever consistent D'Good D'Bad 'nd D'Ugly wrapping up the event with a 2, 1, 1.

Many thanks to our OD and crew, to rescue and the RCYC for all the resources.
