Key West 2013

North Sails

There was some exciting racing at the southernmost point of the United States for Key West last week.

39 boats took to the water in the J/70 fleet - 24 of which sported North sails. Tim Healy and his team on Helly Hansen sailed beautifully all week and managed two bullets on the final day to keep four points between themselves and second place boat Savasana owned by Brian Keane. Both boats, along with 3rd place finisher Stampede, are powered by 100% North Sails. North-powered Spring, Nostalgia and B Squared finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the corinthian division of the J/70 fleet.

North-powered Melges 24s also took top honors in both the class and corinthian divisions in Key West. Full Throttle and Hedgehog finished the week with 20 and 23 points respectively, with 3rd place finisher West Marine/New England Ropes 15 points behind Hedgehog. In the corinthinan division, Lounge Act, Party Girl & DEN-701 took the top three spots in the 8-boat-fleet.

North Sails-powered boats also finished 1,2 in the J/80 class.
