There was a line up of 30 boats for the second round of the Audi Melges 20 Cup, this time from Scarlino in Italy.
Out of these 30 entries 15 of the boats were sailing with a full North sails inventory.
Renato Vallivero's "Turnover", sailing with North sails and winner of the first round had an unfortunate first day with two OCS's. However, with Marco Perazzo on the helm and Daniele Cassinari on tactics, they put in two good races on the final day achieving a second in the first race and a win in the second race. This enabled them to rise from 11th to finish fourth overall.
North had more boats in the top 10 than any other sailmaker with 1st & 2nd placed boats using North spinnakers and 3,4,6,7,8 & 10 using full inventories.
