International de France Dragon Open 2010

    Theis Palm

    North Dragon sails win.

This year’s International de France Open Championship was hosted by the Yacht Club de Cannes, the same club that organised the Dragon winter series in the bay of Cannes. Fifty-six boats competed for this prestigious trophy between the 25th and 28th February.

It was a Championship with five races sailed in wind conditions from almost no wind to a nice breeze, with winds up to 15 knots at it's most. So it was fantastic conditions to find this year's Champion and best team!

Our congratulations go to Louis Urvois, Gwen Chapalain and Sebastien Audigane for winning the Championships.

Urvois and his crew sailed a very consistent series to finish 1st with Gavia Wilkinson-Cox in Jerboa a close 2nd. Anatoly Loginov in Annapurna finished even closer in 3rd. Ivan Bradbury in Blue Haze was 4th and Olaf Sorensen in Christiana 5th. All of these top five boats were powerd by North sails.

What a week it was where the first three boats sailing at the same time in Cascais Portugal were also powerd by North Sails.

In the last two months there have been three National Championships won by North clients, we are very proud to see our customers doing so well with their North sails!
