Terms & Conditions

By shopping at this site you accept the following terms and conditions. These are also our terms and conditions for purchases made by telephone through our UK office or placed via e-mails through or via a North One Design Sales representative.

Carriage and Delivery:
  • For deliveries of purchases under £100 goods will be shipped via the appropriate method, either Royal Mail or courier.
  • All purchases over £100 will be shipped via courier.
  • Shipping charges will be added to all purchases as standard at checkout, unless seasonal promotions state otherwise.
  • Once your order is taken we will send an email confirmation to advise when your item(s) has been dispatched.
  • All items in stock will be dispatched within two working days.
  • UK deliveries will de delivered within 1-2 working days from day of dispatch.
  • Mainland Europe deliveries will be delivered within 3-5 working days from day of dispatch (Pending customs).
  • For deliveries outside the EU orders will need to be made through a North Dealer and a delivery quote will be given.
  • The buyer shall be responsible for receipt and checking of the consignment, with a signature required for all courier shipments.
  • For consignments that are delivered damaged please ensure you sign saying damaged goods.
  • We will require photographic evidence of the condition of the packaging and goods themselves.
  • The endorsement of “not checked” or unexamined (or different words to this effect) will not render North Sails liable for any damage discovered.

Prices, invoices and Payment:
Goods will be invoiced at the prices quoted on the date of the order placed.
Unless otherwise stated written quotes are valid for 14 days.
50% deposit is required on the date of order placed with the full balance due before despatch. In the case of the goods being shipped within 3 working days of order place date, the full amount will be taken as the order is submitted.
No goods will be shipped without full payment.

Reservation of title:
Title to any goods supplied by the company shall not pass to the Purchaser until all payments due in respect of the goods are made in full by either the acceptance of Sterling currency by an authorised agent or the Company's bank account being credited with cleared funds. Until such time as title is transferred the goods shall remain the absolute property of the Vendor. Default of payment by the Purchaser, when lawfully demanded by the Vendor, the Vendor shall be entitled to enter the premises of the Purchaser, and recover the goods. If, nevertheless, the Purchaser sells the goods or sells items into which the goods have been incorporated before the goods have  been paid for in full, he shall hold the proceeds of sale on trust for the Vendor and the Vendor  shall be entitled to trace the goods into such items of proceeds of sale.

Returns & Exchanges:
Goods returned must be in new and unmarked condition, and must be accompanied by the invoice or delivery note.
No return or exchange will be accepted after 14 days of Invoice.
The buyer shall be responsible for packing, insurance and carriage costs of the returned goods.
Original shipping charges plus a £5.00 admin / restocking  fee will be charged on all returned goods.
Custom built products or permanently marked products such as spinnakers with numbers cannot be returned.

The company warrants that goods will be free of defects in material and workmanship. The company at its option will repair or replace the goods which are returned to the company by the buyer and which the company is satisfied are defects.
Warranties exclude consequential Loss or Damage, defects judged by the company as fair wear and tear and improper handling or use of the goods.

Privacy Policy:

North Sails One Design take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience. This website comply's to all UK national laws and requirements for user privacy.
