2016 Window Positions
New for 2016
Although the sail shapes and designs will not be changing we have made some subtle improvements to our XOD sails for the 2016 season.

  • Bigger jib windows for increased vision and tell tails that no longer get caught on stitching!
  • Extra window added in mainsail to improve helmsman's vision
  • Jib constructed using Contender RSQ 6.05 fabric
  • Mainsail radial panels constructed using Contender RSQ 6.05

Mainsail (MXM-6)

The MXM-6 Mainsail is a progression from the successful MXM-5 design and will be the popular choice for the majority of the masts in the fleet. Designed slightly flatter in the head section than the MXM-5 to help open the top leech in light winds and with more luff curve lower down this sail has proved to be a very versatile and powerful mainsail. The Bi-Radial construction is manufactured using Contender RSQ 6.05 and Contender PK 5.52.

Mainsail standard features:

  • Class insignia
  • Sail numbers
  • Epoxy battens
  • Vision window
  • Spreader window
  • Leech line
  • Leech tell tales
  • Long roll bag

Mainsail (RHM-4)

The RHM-4 Mainsail is designed to compliment the stiffer masts in the fleet with a well balanced combination of broad seam shaping and luff curve to suit the stiffer masts. This sail has proven itself to be very quick throughout the wind ranges. The Bi-Radial construction is manufactured using Contender RSQ 6.05 and Contender PK 5.52.

Mainsail standard features:

  • Class insignia
  • Sail numbers
  • Epoxy battens
  • Vision window
  • Spreader window
  • Leech line
  • Leech tell tales
  • Long roll bag

Mainsail (SM-1)

The SM-1 Mainsail has been designed to fit the softer masts in the fleet and has the most luff curve of the 3 mainsails on offer. The Bi-Radial construction is manufactured using Contender RSQ 6.05 and Contender PK 5.52.

Mainsail standard features:

  • Class insignia
  • Sail numbers
  • Epoxy battens
  • Vision window
  • Spreader window
  • Leech line
  • Leech tell tales
  • Long roll bag

Jib (WM-3)

The WM-3 is our very popular and all round jib design that compliment’s all of the mainsails that we offer. It has proven itself over the past few seasons to be a very versatile sail, fast through the wind ranges from 0 knots up to 30 knots. A cross cut layout with radial head section manufactured from Contender RSQ 6.05.

Jib standard features:

  • Epoxy battens
  • Snap buckle hanks
  • Vision window
  • Leech line
  • Leech tell tales
  • Trim tell tales
  • Long roll bag
For prices and more information contact our XOD Experts or your

Jib (RHJ-7)

The RHJ-7 is a fuller more powerful sail than the WM-3 specifically designed for the classic “Choppy” conditions encountered during Cowes week! We have increased the depth in the bottom third of the sail to make a very powerful sail, ideal for wind conditions over 12 knots. A cross cut layout with radial head section manufactured from Contender RSQ 6.05

Jib standard features:

  • Epoxy battens
  • Snap buckle hanks
  • Vision window
  • Leech line
  • Leech tell tales
  • Trim tell tales
  • Long roll bag

Spinnaker (FR-6)

The FR-6 is full radial in construction and designed to offer as much projection for dead downwind sailing as possible. The full radial layout offers a very stable sail for the "round the cans" racing encountered at each division and during Cowes week and is manufactured from Superkote 75.

Spinnaker standard features:

  • Sail numbers
  • Sail bag
  • Stock colours
  • 8% surcharge for custom layouts
