Mainsail (FR-4) New!

The radial FR-4 is designed to suit the Seldon Epsilon mast and Superspar M2 masts, it is for crew weights of over 175kgs. The sail is made with a full radial construction and produces a very smooth and easy to use sail and copes better with the high loads in the corners than a traditional cross cut sail allowing the sail to maintain its racing shape for longer. It is manufactured from Contender RSQ 4.55. The FR-4 is derived from the FR3 with a little extra fullness in the foot seaming and lower luff round, it needs a little more pre-bend in the mast to accommodate the fullness and offers a good range of ‘gears’ across the wind range.

If you would like us to measure your sail under the IHC scheme please send your certificate to the loft to arrive before the completion date of your sail to enable us to complete the process.

Mainsail standard features:

  • Vision window
  • Spreader window
  • Spreader patch
  • Epoxy battens
  • Class insignia
  • Sail numbers
  • ISAF in house measurement
  • Long roll bag

Genoa (FJ-2)

The bi radial Dacron FJ-2 Genoa is our all purpose genoa. The sail is built with radial clew and head sections and cross cut panels in the middle. The sail is cut from Contender RSQ 5.55 all over to provide a nice balance of performance and longevity. The radial clew sections also allow the exit to remain straighter for longer as the sail ages.

Jib (SJ-1) New!

The SJ-1 Jib is predominantly designed to facilitate easier handling, particularly in the upper wind strengths. It would enable a lighter weight team to compete where previously they may not. It offers good pointing and is competitive upwind on flatter water.

The jib utilises the existing sheet but requires additional blocks to bring the sheeting angle forward to the aft side of the foredeck combing. The sheeting angle is much smaller and tacks very quickly without striking the mast.

If you would like us to measure your sail under the IHC scheme please send your certificate to the loft to arrive before the completion date of your sail to enable us to complete the process.
