Jib (S24-B4) Japanese Design

The S5-B4 jib has been very popular among the world's top teams for a long time. So our design team have been very careful in remolding this design to make it perfect by using our latest software. The S24-B4 jib therefore has the same depth, the same base profile but is perfectly remolded with just a slight modification. The tack area has been modified where wrinkles sometimes appear to make that area smooth and fair without the wrinkles. Also the shape at the foot has been changed to make the air flow more effective, this change makes the position of the deck sweep a little bit outside of the original S5-B4 design.

Jib standard features:

  • Carbon battens
  • Vision window
  • Flutter patches
  • Leech tell tales
  • Trim tell tales
  • Long roll bag
  • ISAF in house measurement
  • Class royalty label

The bi-radial S5-B4 has been designed for all round conditions it has a slightly rounder entry, straighter exit, and is powerful, easy to trim and stear too. It is manufactured from Dacron HTP-165 square. You need to give some wrinkles along the luff when you sail in flat water, and remove it when in choppy for the best performance. It was used by many of the teams at the London 2012 Games.

Jib standard features:

  • Carbon battens
  • Vision window
  • Flutter patches
  • Leech tell tales

Spinnaker (V-2)  Japanese Design

In light wind it is vital to sail searching for the proper angle for the VMG. The cross cut V2 is the design which is slightly flat and sails well at a higher angle in light wind, it is also good in flatter water or windy conditions. You can stabilize the shape by putting the pole height down in average, and more in choppy conditions. It is manufactured from a combination of 0.5oz and 0.75oz Tejin.

Spinnaker standard features:

  • Sail numbers
  • Sail bag
  • ISAF in house measurement
  • Class royalty label
  • Stock colours
